How To Read My Stories So No One Freaks Out

No one would consider Joshua Maxfield shy or standoffish. Fact is, he’d never had a hard time enjoying the holidays. Not this year. This Christmas, he is feeling lonely and insecure for the first time in his life.
Josua Miranda had always been an aggressive lawyer, however, for matters of the heart, he is reserved. He saw Joshua enter his firm as an intern three months before and immediately recognized fate's intercession.

Snippity Snippet Sunday :D #Kaleidoscope #mm #erotic #romance #NSFW

I'm late so it's an early Monday snippity :D

Excerpt: Christmas Unwrapped

Josua pulled himself up until both of our cocks were rubbing against each other. Everything I was feeling was more than I’d ever had before. I don’t know how, or why that was so, but I now understand what Zach had once tried to tell me. I’d refused to listen then, thinking it gross he was talking about my father. But now that I actually felt what he’d told me in words, there was nothing to compare. I felt as though my heart was going to explode. Or my cock. Whichever came first.

Image result for standing

Davis slowly rose from the water, the water shedding off his skin, making Tarek wonder how it would feel to his touch. When Davis stood directly in front of him, the look on his face turned from mischief to being torn. It was as if he wanted to walk away and yet couldn’t. Tarek felt exactly the same way.
The air between them charged with electricity. Caught in a daze of desire, Tarek reached out and brushed a strand of wet hair from Davis’s forehead. The setting sun lent a beautiful orange cast to his features and Tarek couldn’t help notice how it made Davis look like he were a painting. Incredibly, Davis turned into his touch and somehow, Tarek felt himself getting pulled against the solid wall of Davis’s chest, where the skin felt cool and slick against his. The brush of a hard cock against his own sent tremors through him.
“What do you want?” Tarek whispered.
Davis drew in a harsh breath before his gaze settled on Tarek’s.

Oops! I Did It Again this round of December: #Releases, #Sale, & #MM more @MickanAnn @headoutofoven

Once again it's the season to be jolly and boy, do I have some joy to give you 😍

I've got two releases this month of December.

December 5th, A Lemon Flavoured Christmas
This is part of the 2017 eXtasy Books Stocking Stuffers. This is  I've co-written with Ann Mickan which began with The Lemonade Stand.

A Lemon Flavoured Christmas' picks up where The Lemonade Stand left the boys and follows them into the hot Australian Christmas season. This is the second instalment of The Boys' Next Door Series

Lemonade can be an acquired taste.
After recently meeting again over Ian’s twin sisters’ lemon-ade stand, Michael Alexander and Ian Hamilton have given in to an attraction that Ian had been fantasising about for years and Michael couldn’t resist.
With big decisions to be made and family responsibilities and expectations to be taken into account, how will these two young men navigate the beginnings of an intense and consuming relationship? Will Michael’s maturity and stead-fastness outweigh Ian’s insecurities and tendency to play games?
As the holiday season quickly approaches through the Australian summer heat, the boys must address the heat that is constantly simmering between them, threatening to ex-plode like a Christmas cracker at any moment.

Here's a little snippet from one of my favourite scenes ...

“Behave, I’m driving here,” Michael reprimanded him, but not in a stern way. His eyes flicked over in his direction before looking back to the road. There was an indulgent smile on his lips.
“I know,” Ian said, a cheeky smile tugging at his mouth. “But, if I was misbehaving, I would’ve done this.” He reached for Michael’s crotch and gave him a quick squeeze.
Michael sucked in a sharp breath and almost growled. “Ian!” Ian bit the inside of his lower lip when he saw Michael’s white-knuckled grip on the steering wheel.
“Or, maybe this.” He rubbed his palm firmly up and down along the zipper of Michael’s jeans. He wasn’t disappointed by the instant response.
“Ian! Seriously!” Michael shifted in his seat. “If you want to make it home alive, you’d better stop that.” Although Michael sounded serious, he could see the beginnings of a grin stretching across his face and hear a chuckle just below the surface of his words.
“You really want me to stop?” Ian asked, forming the pout on his lips that he’d already worked out drove Michael to distraction. “But, what if I did this?”
December 15th, Christmas Unwrapped
This is a spin-off story to my Taboo Series and features Joshua, the eldest son of Tristan and one of Zachary's best friends. He finds his on happily-ever-after. Who knows what the future may bring, but for now, this will end the series.

REBLOG: FIGHTING BACK – A CIVILISED REVOLUTION by @SusanMacNicol7 #homophobia #banned #discrimination #fightingback

Fighting Back – A Civilised Revolution
I think we can agree that we in the LGBTQ writer community are sick and tired of Facebook and its crazy algorithms that APPEAR, mind I say APPEAR, to be to the detriment of the genre with some leaning towards the dreaded h***phobia word.
It’s time to fight back. We don’t know whether it will do anything; we don’t know whether we’ll be outlawed and ostracised from Facebook. I, for one, have the cojones to say I don’t care. If Facebook doesn’t let me do my thing, I’ll find some other way. Perhaps the way authors and pimpers share and get the word out about their books could do with a shake-up. Maybe we’ll realise another way to do this or find another place to do it. We can all migrate there like little creative starlings in flight and put down roots…
What we can’t do is continue to be banned for daring to show a naked man’s torso, a slight bit of groin without the dangly (or upright bits) and certainly not two guys kissing or manhandling each other with their clothes on. Or GASP!!! A man with a morning boner.
Yes, I know Facebook’s rules. Yes, I understand their community standards. But until they apply equally to everyone on Facebook without them picking on the likes of us, I say they are skewed and until the same rules apply to all, I for one cannot take them seriously. Even our own Author Pages are not sacrosanct, the one place where we are supposed to be able to ply our trade in peace and profitability. And secret and private groups? Pah. Don’t make me laugh. They are no more sacred than anywhere else.
I’ve seen dead babies, animals horrifically injured, naked women’s t*ts, people posting photos of their dead husband, children who have been abused, shocking images of torture and war, twerking asses of said naked woman with only a thong, mostly naked females showing all sorts of nasty lower extremis bits…and nothing happens. I posted one such video recently from their gif section -and so far, no one from Facebook has said anything. Their bots haven’t picked it up because obviously, it’s acceptable.
I have a strategy and as I don’t want anyone else to have to take any heat for this, I’m going to tell you about it here via my website and find a safe place to collate the data I need to present to Facebook as a clear case of discrimination. Unfortunately, even secret, ‘I’d have to kill you if you told anyone about it,’ groups aren’t safe anymore. Facebook has invaded them and nothing is sacred.
There is no safe space.
We’ve all talked about it, bemoaned it, grumbled to each other about it – and now I want us to DO something about it. Because talk is cheap and action at least means we have made our voice heard, expressed our opinion, even if it gets nowhere, or gets me permanently kicked off FB.
This is a civilised revolution. And I need your help.
If you have a picture that was banned, please email it to me at I want to keep this stuff separate so good old sexy Shane is going to be the fall guy.
I also want pictures you’ve seen that YOU think violate the Facebook rules – anything YOU find sexually or morally offensive or unsuitable. Give me some details about the picture if you have it.
I’ll gather these together, write some sort of protest, maybe even start a petition. I’ll also be getting in touch with some of the LGBT organisations and seeing if they have any muscle to support it. Anyone who wants to come on the mission with me is welcome. It might get lonely in Facebook jail 😊
Of course, if no one sends me any pictures, I’ll assume that everything in fact is not as bad as I think it is and I’ll forge ahead on my lonesome. Apathy is sometimes the easiest way to let the bullies win. I truly don’t judge anyone for the decision they make, but personally? I need to feel better about it within myself.
Oh and if you don’t hear from me again – you know where I’ll be. Send cake, coffee and chocolate, and my Kindle and I’ll be just fine. Oh and my laptop. May as well get some writing done while I’m incarcerated.

I've Got Exciting News and I Can't Stand It! #HiddenFates #Waylaid #IAMBEINGME

Hi, peeps!

The past months I've been lying low, but not because I was being unproductive. On the contrary, I have been busy as a bee jumping from one WIP to the next, completing several stories that had been in standby mode for some months, and starting + finishing new ones that popped up and wouldn't shut up. I'm sorry, but I can't reveal everything just yet, though I have been dropping hints here and there on my Facebook pages, both under real-life names and of course, the Jo Tannah pen name. (Yes, in case you missed it, this is a pen name, but it's not invented as these are both my nicknames in real life.)

So you're asking yourself, what's happening with this crazy author?

Well, as I said, busy writing and keeping quiet for a number of reasons. However, there are three books coming out within weeks of each other that I can now talk openly about with you guys. For those who have been following me on my FB pages, you know what these are, but most likely missed out because of all the confusing feeds and absentee notifications that seem to be currently plaguing FB. Hold on, bear with me.

First, we have my third and final installment to the Hidden Series. This trilogy is made up of three different stories straight out of my journal. I wrote these with the Halloween Season in mind. Three paranormal stories, all based on local lore and urban legends. Next year, I will have a different set to release for the Halloween Season. I'm thinking of making this a seasonal thing, so I'm looking forward to penning more of these haunting, scary stories I grew up with.

Jonathan and Rafe Wilkins-Campbell have just bought their dream home. They thought it was a place they could both settle and enjoy the good life.
They were wrong.
Strange things begin to happen during the renovation, inexplicable events that defy logical explanation. When things finally get back to normal, Jonathan and Rafe enjoy getting wrapped up in the chaos of settling into their new home.
However, all is not what it seems and The House on 16th Street and its inhabitants have their own idea of how things should be. Jonathan and Rafe find themselves trapped within it, victims of the house’s every twisted need and they will need every fibre of courage and determination they possess to make it through.

(Make sure to grab these two over at eXtasy as they're on a month-long Sale so you get to save 30%)

Second, is my short story, WAYLAID. I had written this one last year but never found the right medium to publish it with. Medium being what genre? What category? Part of an anthology? What?
And then eXtasy Books connected and asked for a short story, may or may not be a start or part of a series, paranormal, ready for publication for the GRL in Denver...well, I submitted this and was accepted. The cover is generic because it has been categorized as a themed release, the story, however, is far from generic.

Release Date: October 22, 2017

The world is in chaos. From the gates of hell come the monsters and beasts that myths and legends are made of.

Caught at the turning point of an alternate reality, two young men’s lives are irrevocably changed.

The Phantom Hunters, Prequel

And finally, we have Being Me Anthology. This one is close to my heart. So if you have the time to check it out, please do. It is for charity and will do a whole lot of good for the young men and women out there who are feeling insecure and uncertain of who or what they are simply because society makes them second-guess themselves. We've all been at that stage one time or another. Let's all share a helping hand and help one another.

Being Me by [Campaign, Being Me]
Preordering is now available on Amazon and Smashwords

At last - a book for everyone! 16 stories by 15 talented writers. The Being Me Campaign Anthology will go live on the 1st November. Get it first by pre-order and support this amazing outreach program.

84% of young people and 80% of adults have or are suffering from bullying, discrimination or prejudice for simply being who they are. The Being Me Campaign is innovative in their approach to addressing these social issues; they are one of the only charities that does not focus on one specific area. As individuals, the Campaign is made up of many differences, and believe it’s important to have conversations together.

We are all human; we all deserve the same respect, kindness and equality. As a charity, the Being Me Campaign has an open-door policy, so people from all backgrounds and differences may come together to learn about one another, because far more unites us than divides us.

Is that it, you say?

Well, in a word: NO.

I've got several books lines up for release after these three and so far, I've stepped into 2018. This has been a good year for me. It's been prolific and the reception to most of my books have been mind-boggling. I'm constantly amazed by how many readers have come to enjoy my stories. I only hope I can keep up with the bunnies hopping in my head, be fast enough to type out the words and get them out there to be enjoyed.

For now, until November, these three books are sure to keep you entertained. Some of them are sad, some of them are frustrating, some of them are a little scary. In the end, though, they were a joy to write and I'm just glad I was able to put them down.

Have a Happy Halloween Season everyone. I'll see you soon, when the Christmas Season comes knocking.

...and yes. I have the books lined up for release. I'm just not telling when or what titles.

Love you all! Keep safe! Have fun! Enjoy the reads.

RIP Dear Irene. I'll Miss You.

I got terrible news today. I learned that a good online friend and confidant, Irene (not her real name), died of health complications. She'd been in and out of the hospital for some time and she'd been saying she was running out of time. Time ran out for dear Irene and I'll miss her too much.

No automatic alt text available.I never met her in person, but I did talk to her quite a lot. We never let it know to any that we were in constant contact and that she held that gentle whip to steer me in the right direction. It was thanks to Irene that two of my works, Hidden Series and Rise of the Symbionts were developed. Way back when I had no idea how to put thoughts into words the way an author would do it, she gave me the feedback and the guidance on how to put my thoughts to paper and make them readable.

It was thanks to Irene that I dedicated these two series I'd penned, especially Bobik and Dobik, who've both been immortalized as the Dragon Symbiont wonders. Her alter-ego, Dr. Candor, was also the inspiration and the name behind one of the characters in the series. It was thanks to her words of encouragement that my daughter decided to go for a degree in Law. Sadly, we were looking forward to seeing each other come Jan 2019 when I'm scheduled to go to Australia.

Irene was one of my original beta readers for she insisted I continue sending her my works and be given the chance to go over my work and criticize it to a better version.  She was a friend and I'll miss her terribly. I promised her that I would continue Bobik and Dobik's story. I will continue their stroy. I'm just sad that she'll never know the extent to which these two beautiful dragons will prove their might and wonder.

Deleted Scene: Hidden Dimensions (Hidden Series, Book #2)

There are some scenes that need to be taken out from a story. Reasons can include that a scene was not necessary, in some it may be because they didn't do anything to the plot's development. In others, well, they are contrary to the genre I write in which is M/M.This scene was deleted from Hidden: Dimensions and once you read it, you'll understand why. This is written in its rough form and has not been edited in any way.

Marianna looked up when a dark-tinted, gray Bentley slowed down to a stop in front of young receptionist of Sanderson Designs. Almost immediately, a chauffeur dressed in a black suit stepped out to open a passenger door to reveal an elegantly dressed, stiletto-heeled woman. She was soon followed by a much younger woman who closely resembled her. Anyone seeing them would assume they were mother and daughter. It was hard not to stare as the two women stood at the curb, looking up at the sign. Both ladies were tall, had dark blonde hair, the palest eyes, and dressed in perfectly coutured white linen suits. Their fair skin seemed to glow under the heat of the sun but showed no signs of wrinkles or sweat.
She continued her quiet observation from behind her receptionist’s desk, the taller than average women entered. There was something otherworldly in their beauty and many passersby stopped to openly stare at the two. The women took no notice of their observers–instead they walked through the shop doors their chauffeur had reached out to open for them. Nodding at him, the older woman continued on into the shop. Pasting a polite smile on her lips, she approached the women and in a quiet voice, introduced herself.
“Good morning, welcome to Sanderson Designs. My name is Marianna, I’ll be here to assist you should you require me,” Marianna said before she took a step back, not waiting for a response.
The older woman didn’t say a word, merely dipped her head in her direction before moving deeper into the display room. Marianna stood quietly observing for that perfect moment when her assistance would be required. She never attempted to approach her clients when they walked around to look over the merchandise, allowing clients the pleasure of touching or looking into John Sanderson’s designs undisturbed, until such time as they needed her assistance.
Marianna watched the older woman raise an elegant, gloved hand to touch a corded black lace and Taffeta gown modeled on a mannequin. On the other side of the room, the younger woman walked around the display area, lifting a handkerchief here and a glove there. A draped column gown seemed to have caught her attention and she walked up to it to peer up at the gown. Marianna loved that particular design. Made of Chantilly lace, and at least three layers of Charmeuse along its skirt, it was one of the shop’s more exclusive designs. Each custom-designed gown was handmade and unique, not run-of-the-mill ready-to-wear retail rags.
When the older woman raised her head to look in Marianna’s direction, she acknowledged her with a slight nod of her head. A minute later, the younger woman stepped up and spoke something in the older woman’s who nodded silently in response before turning to Marianna.
“Have you found something that might interest you, ma’am?” Marianna said in a polite voice, hands clasped behind her.
“Yes, your designs are very interesting,” the woman said. “My daughter is getting married in a few weeks and we are looking for something special. She says she likes the designs here, but she cannot find what she’s looking for.”
Marianna’s breath locked in her throat. The sound of the woman’s voice sent ripples of fear and pleasure up and down her body, making her shiver in anticipation. Licking her suddenly dry lower lip, she bit down on it slightly to ground herself not to react visibly so as to distract the potential customers.
Marianna nodded in understanding. “Sanderson Designs are the works of John Sanderson. He takes pride in the uniqueness of his works focusing on bridal and bridesmaids gowns. However, he also does evening wear should his clients wish it. What specific designs are you looking for or would you like to look at?”
The older woman turned to her daughter, “Elizabeth?”
When Elizabeth stepped closer to, a waft of scent reached Marianna’s nose and it was all she could do not to react. She clenched her fists and held her breath. Elizabeth was even more stunning up close. Skin like milk, smooth as a petal, the rosy glow on her cheeks lent her a breathless quality Marianna had never seen before on a woman. She must have been close to six two tall in her stilettos and Marianna could smell a delicious fragrance wafting off from her. The scent hinted of sweet magnolia making Marianna suddenly felt a little light headed. An unexpected warmth flooded her cheeks as a wave of desire washed over her, threatening her tightly held composure. She felt out of control, much like when she’d been a young fifteen years old and had allowed her first boyfriend to touch her breasts. She shook the feeling away and forced herself to focus on the business at hand barely hearing the older woman introduce herself as Annabeth Hall.
“Elizabeth, can you please tell Marianna here what it is that you want for your gown?” Annabeth said.
“Yes, I’m thinking lace, tulle, elegant, sensuous, Victorian. I love the designs here, but they are not exactly what I had in mind.” She looked around the shop before walking over to a stand where lace gloves were on display. Picking up a white glove, she returned to their side. “See here? I love the lace on this, but I don’t see it anywhere on any of the gowns on display. Can I have something like this?”
Marianna looked at the glove lying on Elizabeth’s hand. They’d used the very expensive fabric sparingly. Made from a lace pattern designed by John himself, if one looked close enough, they would see the barely perceptible monogram of a stout tree with a lightning bolt shooting through its branches cleverly woven into the pattern.
Mariana smiled. “No, we do not have the designs you have in mind, but would you consider speaking with the designer? He’ll be here around ten and it is nearing that time.”
She watched as mother and daughter looked at each other before nodding in agreement and turned back to look at her. “I’ll just give him a call and find out the exact time he is coming in,” Marianna continued. “In the meantime, would you like some tea, coffee, juice or water?”
“Tea would be lovely. Thank you, Marianna,” Annabeth said.
At the words, Marianna bit back her surprise. There was something very different with how the woman thanked her–it simply was not a common occurrence. She’d catered to the old and nouveau riche for a long time, ever since she’d been a teenager in fact while working in her mother’s shop. She’d met her fair share of snobs who thought the world owed them something. This pair, they were different. Quiet, polite, and gracious were words that came to mind and yet, they were obviously wealthy if she were to judge their custom tailored clothes.
“If you’ll excuse me, please have a seat here in the waiting area and you can both go over John’s design catalogs?” She led the two women to an elegant Victorian settee and love seat was in the corner of the shop. After the women sat down, Marianna picked up a stack of catalogs from the coffee table for them to look over. Bells rang out from the front and when Marianna looked, she saw that the receptionist had arrived. She turned back to the Halls.
“If you have a question or need something clarified, please feel free to call me or Leila, our receptionist. I’ll have your refreshments ready in no time.”
Hastening back to the front of where the reception stood, she instructed her to give their boss a call. “Leila, tell him to get here as quickly as he can. They’re not the type to wait long,” she said in a hurried whisper.
Leila made a quick nod before picking up her cell phone. Marianna hurried to the kitchenette at the back of the shop where she prepared the tea and catered sandwiches. When she came back, she saw that both Elizabeth and her mother were looking at her and she stopped. Hands suddenly trembling, Marianna slowly approached to place the tray she was holding on to a side table. A warm, soft, silky hand lightly cupped the back of her leg and slid up her thigh. Under normal circumstances, Marianna would have slapped the hand away, but the fragrance coming off from the two women made her head spin. She bit on her lip, holding back a moan when Elizabeth cocked her head toward her. As though from afar, she watched Elizabeth raise her hand, and with a sigh, ran the tip of her long, tapering finger down Marianna’s temple, following the curve of her cheek, and down the side of her neck.
“You are lovely, my dear,” Annabeth said in a low, sultry voice.
Pools of liquid heat collected between Marianna’s legs. She threw a glance toward Leila, but the girl was busy filing her nails as she talked on her cell phone. The hand beneath her skirt crept between her thighs, making her bite her lower lip to keep from panting out. As the hand continued to slowly and gently caress between her thighs, the scent wafting off the two women became stronger. Marianna began to feel dizzy, and at the same time, she wanted to rip her clothes off and let the two women do whatever they wanted with her.
“John said he’s coming right over, Marianna!”
Leila’s voice jerked Marianna out of the fugue she’d sunk into and she straightened abruptly. The scent faded and for a moment, Marianna didn’t know what had happened. When she turned back to her clients, she saw the two women were engrossed with a catalog full of wedding gowns.
“If you’ll excuse me, please, I’ll go make sure what time John gets here so you’re not kept waiting.”
At her words, Elizabeth looked up and gave her a swift smile before looking down at the designs again. Feeling curiously disappointed, Marianna walked over to Leila. As she took a step, she realized with sudden horror that her panties were damp and she jerked to a stop. Leila looked up and smiled at her before going back to whatever she was doing, which appeared to be peering into a nail she was filing. Marianna looked around consciously, running damp hands down the sides of her skirt. She walked as casually as she could without betraying her shock when she felt a slow trickle between her thighs. Once she turned the corner to the ladies room, she hurried inside and locked the door behind her.
“What the hell?” Marianna said under her breath when she caught sight of her reflection in the mirror and saw the red flush of cheeks. Taking a deep breath, she toed off her shoes, pulled several paper towels and proceeded to clean herself up.

Caught by surprise. Caught in a bad place. Triggers and me in mid-air

I've always prided my self-composure. One who does not does not go a-twitter, one who moves mountains to cross a molehill, one who multitasks. I make my entrance into social media, my author persona, sure of myself, always on the go, always on the right path.
What a farce.
One trigger. One little incident and I fall down this mountain I'd made myself climb.
I got caught by surprise, I couldn't catch a hold.
Tumbling is not something I enjoy doing, neither is stumbling, or fearing, or worse, facing self-doubts. And all because of one trigger that caught me by surprise in its intensity, it blinded, it drowned, it suffocated, it is dragging me down and I couldn't find anything to hold on to.
I'm on the ground, and I am wanting to get up, but again, the trigger is pulled, and once again it releases something in me and I am staying down.
I'm an only girl. I was my Daddy's girl. He was a harsh man, and far from perfect. But he was my Daddy, and someone who made me see and think, and be who I am today. I hear his voice telling me to stop being stupid, to stop being weak, and get up, for that was what my legs were for.
I listen to that voice I hear and I am listening hard.
Then I realize it's all a memory and the man I held on to as a child is no more.
I will not stay this way. I cannot stay this way. I can hear his voice, ringing harsh. It is a voice I love. It is a voice I will always love.
Triggers. I can see him laugh it off, give me that smirk of a smile, that challenging twinkle in his eye, that glare when I show weakness. I see that face and I feel the challenge.
I will be up to that challenge he sends me. I cannot not face the challenge for I refuse to stay down, and I am not someone who stays down.
I will make my entrance into reality again, with my usual laughter that hides the pain.
I miss my Daddy, and though he's been gone now, he will always be my Daddy.
I remember people laughing on my wedding day, when we looked at each other and the guests and we said, let's go. And we ran. We ran across the aisle and he laughed hard all the way, while I hung on and giggled, until we reached the altar where my future husband was gaping at us, and my uncle the monsignor who was marrying us couldn't quite hold back his own laughter.
My uncle looked at my dad and shook his head. "Far," he said, "up to now you're leading your daughter astray."
My Daddy just laughed again and said, "No, not I. She's the one leading the way. Every single time."

I promise you this, Daddy, I will get up. I will stand up. And I will get out into the world again with my usual flair. Just you wait, just you watch. I can and I will. That's a promise.

Who’d have thought that when life hands you lemonade, it could taste oh, so sweet?
Being home for the summer wasn’t something Ian Hamilton had planned on, but his mother surprising everyone with a fourth baby was also sort of unplanned. Ian’s father slowly going bonkers coping with sleepless nights, feeding the new baby, and dealing with Ian’s twelve-year-old twin sisters complicates things even more.
Michael Alexander had moved back into his parents’ home last summer, just until he could find an apartment nearer the hospital where he works. His parents had offered to look for him, but that was over six months ago.
One smmer day, Michael gets home exhausted, only to find a Lemonade Stand set up on the curb of his driveway, making it impossible to park his car. Expecting to see his neighbor’s twin girls, he’s surprised when he finds a young man instead—one who takes one look at Michael’s tired face and offers him a glass of lemonade and a flirty smile.

Deleted Scene: Hidden: Evils :::: What really happened to Myla O'Brian? #mm #erotic #romance #supernatural #paranormal #urban #horror

Macon, Georgia

Squinting into the dark road ahead of her, Myla O’Brian slowed down the car. There was something sitting there in the middle of the road and the headlights were reflecting off something, turning whatever it was into an eerie, glowing red. Suddenly frightened, Myla punched her foot onto the accelerator, unwilling to risk herself on anything for the sake of morbid curiosity.

Image result for aswangAs her car passed beside the object on the road, she could barely see a crouching figure. It was just a glimpse, but it was something huge and it had red eyes. In the background, she heard a low thumping sound and before she knew it, it began to mimic the pace of her heartbeat. As her fear intensified, so did her heart rate speed up and the steady thumping increased its speed, making her even more petrified.

Looking into the rearview mirror, she saw the thing had disappeared, but curiously, she could still hear that thumping, beating sound. Pressing her foot harder on the accelerator, she quickly drove through the dark and empty road. Car speed increasing by the minute, she felt her heart rate speed up just as fast, the pumping, stronger. Soon, Myla saw her house ahead and she quickly yanked her steering wheel to the right, directing her car to rush into the driveway, hitting several pots that lined it. Fearful she was experiencing another panic attack, she moved quickly and slamming the door shut as she got out. She focused on her front door visible under the light she kept on when she was not at home. Walking quickly, she nervously looked behind her she but did not see anything beyond the dark avenue that led to her street. The other houses were dark with only their front porch lights left on.

She breathed a sigh of relief when she finally got the front door open and closed it behind her. Panting, breathing harshly, she turned and locked the door, peering into the eyehole to see if that thing, anything, had followed her. When she saw there was nothing in the darkness beyond the broken pots in her driveway, she closed her eyes and leaned her forehead on the door. Straightening, she walked into her house, switching the lights on in every room that she passed. Soon, all the lights in and outside of the house were lit, but she did not feel safe. For some reason, the thumping sound was still there, in her head. She put her hand to her chest and massaged it a bit, feeling her heart thump against her ribcage. As she sat at her kitchen table, she took out her cell to call her husband.

On the third ring, he answered. “Hey sweetheart, it’s late. Are you all right?”

“Jim, I’m scared. I’m really scared. And my heart, I can’t seem to relax and the thumping. It just won’t stop!” she could hear the panic in her voice.

“Honey, what happened? Try to breathe, you know the drill. Breathe in, breathe out. Just listen to my voice. Breathe in, and breathe out.” her husband knew how to calm her, but this

time, somehow, his voice was not helping. The thumping increased even more and now she was developing a headache and she could see red spots whichever she looked.

She was just about to answer her husband, trying to calm herself and keep on breathing when suddenly, the thumping stopped. She could imagine hearing the silence it was overwhelming .

“Myla? Myla? Answer me!” she heard Jim’s voice through the line and hastened to assure him. “Jim? The thumping, it’s stopped.”

“What thumping? Never mind, I am going home right now. Go upstairs and take a bath, which should relax you. Give me fifteen minutes and I’ll be home. Remember, you need to relax. It’s not good for you or the baby.” Jims sounded as if he were moving and before long, Myla heard his car alarm beep.

“I know, I’m sorry Jim. But it was just so strange and I could not control myself. I was so scared.” Myla answered, her hand cradling her swollen belly.

“It’s alright honey, I’ll be home soon. Go upstairs, relax. I will see you in fifteen, okay?”

“Okay. Thank you, Jim. I love you,” she said, smiling as she thought of her husband.

Ending the call, Myla stood and made sure all the windows were locked. She checked outside their home once more through the peephole and windows before going upstairs. As she walked into their bedroom on the second floor, her heart thumped hard suddenly and she paused. Not hearing anything, she shrugged it off as delayed reaction to her mini-panic attack.

Image result for tiktikWalking into their bathroom, she plugged the tub and ran hot and cold water at the same time, tempering it. She looked at herself in the mirror and proceeded to slather cleansing cream to clear off her make-up before taking off her clothes. Checking the tub, she sprinkled bath crystals and immediately a citrusy scent filled the air. She checked the temperature of the water before turning back to her bedroom. Seeing the window open, she hastened to close it. Looking out into the driveway one last time and seeing it empty, she closed the bSeb sharply with finality before heading back to the bathroom.

Myla sighed as her baby moved within her. Six more weeks, more or less, her doctor had advised. This was their first baby and both she and her husband were very excited to finally meet their baby girl. Running her hand over the stretched skin, she felt the baby give a nice, determined kick. It was painful. Laughing softly and rubbing her belly lightly, she saw the tub had finally filled up. She shut off the water before she settled in, leaning her neck on the folded towel by the edge of the tub and closed her eyes to relax.

“Myla? Honey? I’m home!” Jim called as he opened the front door. He had seen the broken pots on the driveway and the crooked way his wife’s car had parked. He shook his head, Myla must have been very stressed, she was usually so meticulous with the care of her home and car.

When no answer came from his wife, he assumed she was still in the bath. Making sure the front door was locked, he checked over the whole of downstairs before finally going up the stairs to their room. It was quiet and empty when he walked in. He saw the bathroom door was slightly open so he walked over and tapped three times on it to warn his wife he was coming in.

Across the street, Mrs. O’Neal was startled out of her sleep when she heard a blood-curdling scream coming from outside. Quickly getting out of bed as fast as she could, she roughly pushed at her husband awake beside her, “Scott, call 911. I can hear screaming.”

“What? What?” he sputtered confused at the rough way he been woken from a deep sleep.

“Just call 911 you idiot!” she said sharply, quickly walking to her bedroom window and looking out. Her eyes locked into the house in front of theirs and her heart suddenly beat faster in fear.

“Oh, my God. It’s the O’Brian’s. Myla, oh my God. Scott. Hurry!” she quickly picked up her robe and rushed downstairs. She was through the front door and garden in no time. Not bothering to knock, she opened the O’Brian’s door and rushed up the stairs, following the horrible screams. She was thinking it was Jim. Oh, poor boy!

Scott O’Neal hurriedly picked up his phone and was trying to connect with 911 but was put on hold when it finally connected. “Fuck! Fuck!” he said to no one growing scared by the loud screams coming from across the street. His hand was trembling as he held his phone. He hurried to put on his slippers and slip into his robe, moving to follow his dear wife who was friends with their neighbors. He knew the O’Brian’s, they were a beautiful young couple and expecting their first baby.

Just as he reached his front door, he heard another scream, which sounded much like his wife’s, join the first one. Now two people were screaming and he noted absently the other houses’ lights go on and some of their neighbors were running outside in their robes, some in their skivvies, trying to see where the screams were coming from.

“911, what is your emergency?”
